It sounds a little extreme, but in this day and age, if your work isn’t online, it doesn’t exist.
Austin Kleon, Show Your Work!
Last weekend, I read Austin Kleon’s Show Your Work!, and it inspired me to go back online. This time, I wanted a space of my own outside social media — although I also joined Bluesky, mostly because I liked the idea of decentralization.
I don’t plan to use this site as a portfolio or a CV. I’d rather treat it as a journal of what I’m working on — something I can look back at later and see how far I’ve come.
For now, there will be 3 main themes here:
- books (I’ve been working in publishing for quite a few years, after all),
- data and analytics (I’ve spent roughly half of that time developing those skills),
- small technical projects (things I build for work or for myself).
Let’s see what comes of it.
Small things, over time, can get big.
